For over 20 years, Emmy-winning filmmaker Trevor Hawkins has created films for clients including National Geographic, ESPN, Red Bull, Ford, AMC Theatres, Stella Artois, the Smithsonian, and Outdoor Channel, with international partners ranging from the President of Rwanda to the City of Barcelona.

His feature debut Lotawana (written, directed, produced, shot, and edited by Hawkins) was critically acclaimed and has held a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The Explorer’s Club in NYC recently hosted the World Premiere of his documentary From Fossils To Flesh and he’s currently in development of his next feature films.

He founded the film studio MAMMOTH in 2010 to produce movies and documentaries as he continues shooting wildlife and wild places around the world. A lifelong resident of Lake Lotawana, Missouri, he can be found there sailing, skateboarding, wakeboarding, rehabilitating wildlife, working on his cabin, and “gettin’ wet ’n wild with the other lake rats.”

“Director Trevor Hawkins proves he’s one to watch.
He’s a talented filmmaker with fresh cinematic vision and an enormous amount of passion.”

- Shawn Edwards, FOX

CINEMATIC STYLE

Trevor Hawkins’ signature style is a kinetic blend of fun, wonder, and the natural world. His films are emotionally honest, visually striking, and driven by big questions. He finds meaning in unlikely places, even in tragedy, and moves seamlessly between humor, tension, and tenderness while keeping one cohesive, unmistakable voice.

His work captures the awe and grandeur of existence, then drops into share the smallest, most intimate moments, a testament to the beauty and complexity of the human experience. The result is hard-hitting cinema that is entertaining on the surface and profound underneath, gripping audiences on first watch and rewarding them on the drive home.
